Statement of Purpose

The purpose of the Southern California First Jurisdiction Department of Evangelism is to assist and aid every Church (by every biblical and spiritual means) in our Jurisdiction in fulfilling the commandment of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, to go into all the world and preach the good news to every creature! (Mark 16:15)

In fulfilling the aforementioned commission, are objectives are the following:

  1. To provide training to every Pastor, evangelist leader, and evangelist worker, in how to effectively engage and share the good news of the gospel with all relevance into the times in which we now living, without compromising the message of holiness, for the purpose of winning men to Christ. (Heb. 12:14)
  2. To conduct seminars, hold revivals, and to both prayerfully identify and establish Presidents and Elect Ladies for departments of evangelism in each Region, District, and Local Churches throughout our Jurisdiction
  3. To aid in establishing prison ministry, altar ministry, skid row ministries, and hospital/convalescent ministries, all for the purpose of sharing the good news to those who have fallen upon physical and spiritual hard times, fulfilling the sheepfold ministry! (Matt. 25:35-40)

The State Evangelism Department of Evangelism is headed by Elder Keith L. Russell (Department President) and Evangelist Shelia Thompson. (Department Elect Lady)
